Just an hour and a half north of Kansas City is the serene Conception Abbey. The view as you drive up to the monastery is simply stunning.
Conception Abbey, also known as the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, is a Roman Catholic Benedictine monastery. Today, 65 monks call the monastery home.
On site you'll find the Printery House, where monks print religious works, cards, and other contemporary religious art and Catholic gifts. The print shop is one of the ways the monks support themselves and the abbey.
