During peak season (mid-March through Labor Day), tours are offered from 9 am to 5 pm and begin about every 45 minutes. Other times of the year, tours are offered from 10 am to 4 pm. A maximum of 20 people can go on each tour, so it's an intimate experience where you will learn, explore, and get up close to this magnificent underground natural museum.

The tour is designated as strenuous, thanks to the 350 stairs scattered throughout the pathway, but it is appropriate for all ages.

You'll spend about an hour looking up, down, and around at naturally colorful rocks, intricate drapery, and cascading calcite.

The walkway for the tour is paved and includes railings when necessary. The cave remains a cool 58 degrees all year long, so plan accordingly. Be sure to check out the cavern's website (linked below) for restrictions on what you can take along and other recommendations.
On your way to Diamond Caverns, you will pass by Mammoth Cave, but make sure you keep going to reach this one-of-a-kind Kentucky destination.
