Now that it’s finally warming up, everyone in Delaware has one thing on their mind: ice cream. We’re an ice cream loving state, that’s for sure! In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find a Delawarean who hasn’t visited all of our state’s creameries to see which one makes the best. Our obsession with ice cream means that we occasionally overlook another sweet treat – milkshakes. Track down each spot on the list below to find the best milkshakes in Delaware, and satisfy your sweet tooth craving before it drives you crazy.

There's nothing like an old fashioned milkshake from the Charcoal Pit! Their classic vanilla is as good as you can get, and their triple strawberry shake has been repeatedly named the best in the state. Pair your shake with a burger and fries and enjoy a meal that takes you back to childhood.

Last on the list, but certainly not last in my heart, is Tre Sorelle Dolce. Their creamy milkshakes might actually be the best in the state, if you're looking for a classic old fashioned shake. I always splurge and get an enormous cookies and cream shake... and I've been known to go way out of my way to visit this rural ice cream shack.
