This fun fish shack has a pirate boat for ordering, a food truck for a kitchen, and a large covered deck for relaxing. The seating area has both tented and open seating, so you can enjoy your tacos in comfort, rain or shine.
The restaurant is actually owned and operated by Deckhand Dave himself, and he takes pride in the quality of fish served here. He cut his culinary teeth on board the fishing boats of the waters off Juneau.
Appetizers, sliders and tacos are made form local wild Alaskan salmon, rockfish and halibut. Other types of seafood specials are created daily using seasonally available ingredients.
Locally-made Alaskan Brewing Company beer is served to cool your palette, and quench the thirsty fisherman. Specials include this colorful ceviche and other fresh seafood dishes in season.
The basic menu includes a variety of simple fish tacos, blackened or battered and fried. Corn tortillas, shredded cabbage, homemade salsa, and a squeeze of lime complete each taco dish.
For the kiddos, or those with a snack-sized appetite, fresh salmon is fried in bite-sized pieces as "Salmon Tots". These unique Alaskan treats are a big hit.
