When you want to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Tetons, few things beat hiking them.
There are over 80 hiking trails in Grand Teton National park, but the Teton Crest Trail is an exceptionally gorgeous hike.
This trail is 33.8 miles over stunning mountain terrain, with the trail head located at the top of Rendezvous Mountain.
It's moderately trafficked, so the path is fairly easy to follow. Though the ground is flat in spots, it's uneven in others, and you'll go up steep climbs as well as navigate over rocky areas.
These elements plus the length of the trail are why it's rated difficult.
The Teton Crest Trail will take you up to ridgelines...
...and down into valleys.
The views throughout are spectacular in any season, but summer brings the bonus of colorful Wyoming wildflowers.
You'll probably get to do some wildlife watching, too, as you go. Keep an eye out for bears and maybe even some moose.
Park rangers recommend always carrying bear mace when you're out in the wilds of Wyoming.
Jewel-toned Marion Lake is a beautiful spot to take a breather and enjoy a picnic.
There are several places along the trail perfect for setting up camp for a night or two.
Plus, the trail offers a front-row seat to view the breathtaking Wyoming sunrises and sunsets.
The Teton Crest Trail is such a gorgeous hike we wouldn't be surprised if it's one you end up taking more than once a season.
Have you hiked Teton Crest? Did you conquer the full 33 + miles?
If you’re up for more than one hike in the Cowboy State, you’ll want to be sure to hit this absurdly beautiful Wyoming trail that will make you feel at one with nature .
