The Sands beach may be the only one of its kind in South Carolina. That's because you can actually choose to park your car right on the beach at this unique destination. (There is also a parking lot — albeit, also sand.) At this fun little getaway, you can picnic right out of your car while you soak up some summer sun and swim, or search for shells or sharks teeth.

You can park your car right on this quaint little beach in South Carolina. There is also a sandy parking lot, if you prefer to walk over to the beach. If parking on the beach, you should always be aware of the tide schedule, especially during a full moon, when high tides are even higher than normal. The Sands doesn't have running water, but portable restroom facilities are nearby.
