Springtime is officially here, and with it comes the opportunity to view Minnesota’s beautiful wildflower species. Luckily, with our state’s many hiking trails and nature areas, it’s not difficult to spot any of these colorful beauties. In fact, if you’re near Ely, Minnesota, there is an easy wildflower hike that will put you in the mood for spring.
Stub Lake Trail is located deep within northern Minnesota's Superior National Forest, a 3.9 million acre wilderness brimming with wildflowers.
All in all, the Stub Lake Trail offers beautiful views of Minnesota's landscape, including some of its most colorful parts. This short trail is well worth visiting this spring and summer!
