9 Totally True Stereotypes Buffalonians Should Just Accept As Fact
There’s something about living in Buffalo that makes us overly sensitive to over-generalizations. While some things we are associated with here in the Queen City are just plain untrue, there are a few that we can admit to. Here are nine totally true stereotypes Buffalonians should just accept as fact. (Sorry in advance.)

Call it the result of our many Superbowl losses. But Buffalonians will always consider ourselves the underdogs. And we'll usually root for fellow underdogs as a result.

Those Superbowl losses we mentioned? Yeah. The sting lasts a really long time. We're also bitter because our sports seasons fall during the coldest and snowiest months (Photo evidence above). Who can blame us for feeling a bit angry about sitting through games like this?

Well, we need something to keep us warm during tailgates! Buffalonians are infamous for our drinking habits before, during, and after sports events. Hide your folding tables!

4:00 a.m. last call, anyone?

We might get sensitive when people only associate us with wings, but this is a totally true stereotype about Buffalonians. We really do feel strongly about our wings.

Particularly local brews!

Sure, our other seasons are wonderful (and usually overlooked), but Buffalonians might as well face it: our winters are LONG. The temperatures haven't reached beyond 40 degrees consecutively yet, and it's currently March.

And we're darn proud of it! The city's recent revitalization is great, but we'll always take pride in our history as a Rust Belt city.

This is one of the truest stereotypes about Buffalonians there ever was. We will quite literally give you the shirts off our backs, should you be in need. This is more than just a slogan for our city. It's who we are at our core.
What are some other stereotypes Buffalonians should accept as fact? We’re not too proud to admit to them – as long as they’re true!
