The answer is The Lights Fest, an interactive event which will be held in Munford, Alabama on May 12th, 2018. This festival is based on a tradition of releasing paper lanterns into the air as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. As soon as it gets dark, participants will be given a paper lantern along with a marker to write a wish, goal, intention, or the name of a loved one.

The lanterns will then be lit with a tiki torch and in one magical moment, thousands of them will be released into the air.
