Lauded by locals and tourists alike, it will be hard to find a Tennessean that doesn’t think fondly of the eastern Tennessee town, tucked just under the Great Smoky Mountains. As the oldest town in the state we figured it was bound to have some fabulous antique shopping options, and you know what? We were 100% correct. Take a look!
Many of us know Jonesborough as the oldest town in Tennessee, a spot that's highly proud of its history that pre-dates statehood and of its well-known moniker: "The Storytelling Capital of the World."
But did you also know, dear friends, that it's one of the best spots in the state to go antiquing? It's true! There are a handful of sweet spots scattered throughout the town that not only make afternoon wandering fun, but offer up some of the most authentic Tennessee trinkets you'll find this side of the Mississippi.

150 years ago, Jonesborough Antiques & Artisans was a hardware shop, but now you can visit over 30 antique dealers that take up 10,000 square feet of space. There's truly something here for everyone in this expansive yet sweet antique shop.
