Main Street Cafe is located in historic downtown Madison, Alabama. It's housed inside the former Madison City Hall and jail, which was built in 1955.

Since opening in December 2000, Main Street Cafe has welcomed visitors from all over North Alabama and beyond. It's open Monday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The most unique features of Main Street Cafe are the two former jail cells that are currently used as private dining rooms.

Besides a table and chairs, these unique dining rooms also feature the jail cells' original bars.
