If you’re looking for a unique date night activity in Omaha this summer, head downtown to Heartland of America Park. You can board a real gondola for a romantic trip around the peaceful lagoon and an up-close look at the spectacular fountain.

Heartland Gondolas offers 15-20 minute rides from the boardwalk on the north end of the park all the way around to the south end of the lagoon and back.

The gondola rides operate from Memorial Day to Labor Day. In May and September the boats run Friday through Sunday and by appointment. In June-August they run every day. Rates for the small gondola are $10 per person or $20 per couple. You can ride the larger boat for $3 per person. Group rates are available. Find out more on Heartland Gondolas’ website.
