This hidden gem is located on the Penn State Campus and features all sorts of beautiful blooms, a children’s area, and idyllic places to enjoy a picnic.
Another must-see landmark is the Centre Furnace Mansion. Restored to its original residence period of 1842, this mansion once served as part of a historic ironmaking village.
If you’re looking for an outdoor activity, you can drive just ten miles outside of town to the gorgeous Spring Creek Canyon Trail. The trail is 4.4 miles long and offers beautiful views of the creek as well as bald eagles and waterfowl.
Mount Nittany is another nearby attraction that will charm nature lovers any time year. One of the most popular outdoor sites in Pennsylvania, this mountain can be hiked in about 3 hours.
