The Strawbale Cafe In Massachusetts Is An Enchanting Breakfast Restaurant

This beautiful restaurant in the countryside is a hidden gem that everyone in Massachusetts should experience at least once. Stop by the Strawbale Cafe to enjoy rolling farmland, heavenly pancakes, freshly baked bread, and veggies grown right next door. And the restaurant? It’s actually made of straw!

The Strawbale Cafe is a storybook breakfast spot tucked away on Hanging Mountain Farm in Westhampton.

The farm has been in the same family for three generations, and everything about it is just gorgeous.

Outside the cafe, you’ll find the most beautiful flowers and buzzing bumblebees.

Inside, you can take a seat in their bright and airy dining area and enjoy delicious fare made from the farm’s own organic vegetables and eggs.

Or if the weather is nice, go ahead and pull up a chair on their shady patio.

The cafe itself is actually made of straw bales. Let’s hope no big bad wolves find out.

The farm makes their own real maple syrup right on the premises in their sugar shack. This fills the air around the cafe with the rich scent of maple sugar and cozy wood smoke.

The Texas Fresh Toast is extra special — the batter that coats the bread has real, homemade maple syrup mixed right in.

They also make their whipped cream with real maple syrup, and people say it’s the best around.

The Strawbale bakes their own bread, including the fan-favorite oatmeal molasses loaf. The smell of this baking in the kitchen is heavenly.

And of course, you can also get the classics like hash browns, egg bakes, and hearty omelets.

The Strawbale Cafe is open year-round on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You can find the Strawbale Cafe & Gift Shop at 188 North Road (behind the house), Westhampton, MA. They switch to a smaller menu of just french toast pancakes in the first six weeks of spring to celebrate maple syrup season.
