Delaware is a state full of hidden wonders, and if you know where to look, you’ll never run out of things to do! How many of these overlooked Delaware destinations have you visited in the past? Are any on your list for this year?

1. Mt. Cuba Center, Hockessin
The Mt. Cuba Center is one of Delaware's most gorgeous gardens, and it's created entirely out of wildflowers that are native to Delaware! In the spring, this is quite a sight.

2. Killens Pond, Felton
Killens Pond might be the most family-friendly Delaware State Park. Not only is there an amazing nature center, boat rentals, and plenty of hiking trails, but in the summer months, it's home to an enormous water park.

3. Lightship Overfalls, Lewes
The Lightship Overfalls is the only remaining lightship that's open for public tours. Right now, the museum is undergoing some renovation, but by the time you visit Lewes this summer, it will be back and better than ever. Be sure to visit the Lightship and its museum when you visit

4. Goodstay Gardens, Wilmington
You'd have no idea this was hidden in Wilmington if you didn't know where to look. Right now is the perfect time to visit, because the beautiful Goodstay Gardens are stunning in the spring

5. Wilmington Riverwalk
Delaware's largest city is also one of its best for restaurants, culture and art. As soon as the weather warms up, plan a day to explore the best riverfront and riverwalk around.

6. The Delaware Contemporary, Wilmington
Along the Riverwalk, you'll find this intriguing museum. In the Delaware Contemporary, there are 26 artist studios and seven galleries, and there's always a few unique exhibits featuring local artists.

8. Fenwick Island State Park
Fenwick Island might be the most underrated town in Delaware, and Fenwick Island State Park itself is really worth a visit. Check out the miles of shoreline trails and nature trail amongst the marsh.

The quaint fishing town of Bowers Beach is home to one of the most unique museums in the area - the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum. Join them for a Buccaneer Bash or just for a quick visit and you'll find the most fascinating local history museum featuring many stories and artifacts from the pirates that once roamed offshore.
