For 67 years, Ennis has been the bluebonnet hub of Texas. Starting around April 1, our state flower lines the highways and extends out into grassy fields as far as the eye can see. It’s become such a popular tourist attraction that the town has capitalized on it and created a Bluebonnet Festival complete with tour guides, photography tips, and even an app with maps of all the trails. This is truly a can’t-miss, unforgettable experience for the whole family.
Read more about the festivities here. Have you ever seen the bluebonnets in Ennis? Where else in Texas does our state flower abound during the spring? Let us know all the best spots!
And just in case this wasn’t enough, here’s a beautiful wildflower driving trail in Texas known as Willow City Loop — it would be just about criminal to not check it out this season.
