Blue Holler Cafe is tucked away and a bit hidden in the “holler” of Kentucky, but this German restaurant is filled with surprises and is worth a visit.
Located in Mammoth Cave, one of the most beautiful and popular areas of Kentucky, Blue Holler Cafe is an unexpected German restaurant, tucked away in this rustic town.
Its owners, Claudia and Harry, are both from Germany, and moved to Kentucky in the early 1990's. They didn't speak any English, but managed to secure jobs and begin a life in the United States, which had always been their dream. Years later, in 2014, the couple pursued another dream by opening up Blue Holler Cafe. They focus on authentic German recipes and welcome locals and visitors to the area. Its closeness to three horse camps, Nolin Lake, and Mammoth Cave National Park make it the perfect spot for many to enjoy a good meal.
