If you lived anywhere near New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina, chances are you visited this popular amusement park before it closed down. It’s more than a decade later and the park still sits abandoned, slowly being reclaimed by nature. The park originally opened in 2000 under the name Jazz Land.

After purchasing the park, Six Flags made some renovations and renamed it "Six Flags New Orleans" in 2003.
