Spring Mountain Ranch State Park can be found off of Highway 159, approximately five miles north of Blue Mountain, Nevada.
Located inside this incredibly picturesque park is a scenic hiking trail that takes you to Sandstone Canyon. Access to the canyon is controlled by the park, and there is an entrance fee of $7. It's a small price to pay for access to one of the most memorable hiking trails in Nevada.
The Sandstone Canyon Loop is a simple two mile trail that's accessible all year long. With a small elevation gain and a well groomed trail, this hike is perfect for people of all ages and skill levels.
The trail boasts some of the most breathtaking views of the surrounding canyon scenery. You definitely don't want to forget your camera.
It's so quiet and peaceful out here. It's a much-appreciated getaway from the noisiness of Vegas. You might just come across some wildlife as well. Big horn sheep, donkeys, jackrabbits, and all sorts of birds are known to hang out in this beautiful area.
