Have you ever been served a delicious dish at a restaurant and found yourself wondering how such a wonderful combination of flavorful food came to be? At Mercantile Dining & Provision you won’t be left wondering, and you will probably also discover a new appreciation for those involved in each step of bringing your food from farm to table. This European-style market and restaurant that is tucked inside Denver’s Union Station, allows patrons a behind-the-scenes look at the story of their food.
The Mercantile welcomes you to experience high quality foods in an approachable environment (without the hefty price tag of fine dining).
The restaurant area of the Mercantile was deliberately designed so that diners could engage in conversation with the cooks to learn more about the ingredients used in the dishes served.
The restaurant side offers a dinner menu daily starting at 5 p.m. and has various seating options including this chef's counter which allows for the transparency that they aim to provide.
The restaurant focuses on seasonally-inspired dishes that take comfort food to an entirely new level.
With everything from small plates (including Roasted Bone Marrow and Market Provisions pictured above) to a family-style dinner that is sure to feed a crowd (try the 36 oz. Bone-In Creek Stone Ribeye), the menu is a palate-pleasing twist on some familiar favorites.
Make sure you pull up a seat to the bar which features an ever-changing menu of handcrafted cocktails that change with the flavors of each season.
Mercantile's market opens every day at 7 a.m. and dinner is served from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday and from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
