As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
We’re not afraid to get down and dirty here in Texas, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a fancier camping experience every now and again. That certainly doesn’t mean we’re weak or can’t handle the great outdoors – it’s just nice to have running water and an actual kitchen sometimes when we’re trying to take in the sights and sounds of nature. With that being said, this Airbnb in Wimberley is one of the highest-rated on the website and guarantees a stay you’ll never forget.
The Dixie Daisy is the best of both worlds. You'll feel like you're "roughing it" while being surrounded by elm trees on a 10-acre property along the banks of Smith Creek, but the shops and restaurants of downtown Wimberley are just three miles down the road.
All the decor is extremely retro and sure to take you back to childhood. Checkered floors, yellow walls, and an antique iron bedframe will instantly remind you of an era we all wish still existed.
As an added bonus, the kitchen comes fully equipped with dishes and utensils for all your cooking needs! The owners are even nice enough to leave fresh eggs in the fridge (as long as the chickens cooperate!) and some local coffee.
The fun isn't confined to inside the Airstream. Outside, you'll find a spacious shower and hot tub with lights strung up above to set a romantic, relaxing mood for you and that special someone.
A charcoal grill, fire pit, and a table and chairs are also located outside! Grill up some dinner and maybe enjoy a s'more or two for dessert as you watch the sunset and relax underneath the breathtaking Hill Country night sky.
The rate is $130 per night with a two night minimum, but single-night stays are available sometimes for an extra $25. Click here for more information and/or to book your trip.
