The Second Largest Mardi Gras Celebration In The Nation Is Right Here In Missouri

Are you ready to hit the streets for the second biggest Mardi Gras celebration in the nation? If you answered yes, then read on to find out about all the epic Mardi Gras events that are taking place over the next two weeks in the historic St. Louis neighborhoo d of Soulard.
Head to the historic neighborhood of Soulard in St. Louis for one of the biggest celebrations in the nation. Outside of New Orleans, the St. Louis celebration is the biggest Mardi party in the nation!
The celebration lasts nearly three weeks but one of the first major events is the Taste of Soulard where you can explore the bars and restaurants around the neighborhood. From Cajun classics to St. Louis style pizza, you can get a taste of it all February 3rd and 4th.
Tickets are $25 and include one drink ticket and six meal tickets. Plus, you can buy drinks and additional food as you go.
On Sunday, February 4th, everyone's favorite Mardi Gras event is back for another year. The Beggin Pet Parade is the world’s largest costumed pet parade!
This event is free to spectators and it's only $10 to enter your pet in the parade.
Directly after the pet parade is the Wiener Dog Derby. There are four age-based classes but only one Wiener can be crowned champion! Spectators can watch the fun for free at the Wiener Stadium in Soulard Market Park.
Register your Wiener for $10. The races begin at 2 pm.
Friday before the big Mardi Gras parade you can celebrate all night at the Mayor's Mardi Gras Ball. This awesome party is located in the historic St. Louis City Hall.
This epic event features good food, cocktails, dancing, and entertainment. Tickets begin at $150.
Saturday, Februray 10th, is the grand finale with the Bud Light Grand Parade. The parade begins at Busch Stadium and proceeds through the streets of Downtown South and Soulard to the place where your beer was born: Anheuser-Busch Brewery.
This parade is the biggest Mardi Gras parade outside of New Orleans and attracts hundreds of thousands of people.
With the huge crowds safety is always a top priority. You'll find state police, St. Louis police, and undercover agents throughout the event to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone.
If you're looking for an all you can eat/drink party be sure to check out the Bud Light Tent. It's especially nice if it ends up being a cold weekend because you can warm up inside the heated tent and use the private bathrooms.
Tickets for the Bud Light Tent are $125 in advance but hurry and get your tickets because they sell out every year!
Even if you're just parting in the streats you're guarenteed a good time. Grab your friends and a hurricane for the most fun celebration of the year.
Don't forget the beads! Over 10,000,000 strands of beads are tossed out to parade viewers every year, plus you'll find even more throughout the day.
