For a more difficult but rewarding hike, check out section A at Billy Goat Trail. Along the way you'll hike across rock formations and see beautiful sights of the Potomac River. Be sure wear shoes or boots with good grip because you're going to need it.

Sure, there are larger lakes in the US but if you don't feel like traveling too far, considering vacationing at Maryland's biggest lake. This historic battlefield has a diverse amount of places to see, from stone bridges, to monuments, and the infamous Bloody Lane. You can visit other battlefields throughout the US but there's no other one like this. It really is beautiful.
