1. Georgia has the fastest growing number of women owned businesses.
For three years in a row, Georgia has held this ranking. Georgia is a place where women entrepreneurs can thrive! Georgia is also ranked as #4 in the country as the best environment for small businesses overall.
2. Georgia ranks as #5 in the country and #2 in the Southeast for over-the-year job creation.
Emory University and Georgia Tech are both ranked in the top 100 universities in the world! Georgia Tech is also among the top 12 universities to create economic impact through innovation.
5. Georgia is the #1 place for minority business owners.
With a Google office right in Atlanta, and Georgia Tech right around the corner, you know that Georgia has solidified its position as a tech hub. Companies from all over come here to recruit some of the best minds in technology.
7. Georgia is home to the nerdiest city in the country.
And it's also the 5th most enterprising city in the country, the 5th in the country for having the most green buildings and #1 in US foreign investment strategy. Georgia sure does have a top city for its capital!
And it holds the largest saltwater marsh in North America and the Okefenokee Swamp. We also make the Vidalia Onion, and we're #1 when it comes to peanut exports.
10. Georgia is the most competitive state in the country!
That's right--we're way more competitive than our competitor states. I'm not exactly sure how this was calculated, but I believe it!
Georgia is a pretty amazing place. Not only are the people awesome and the land pretty, but it’s economically advantageous to live here! You can attend a top university, land a sweet job and have some of the best sweet potato pie too! Georgia is seriously, the best of all worlds!
