The Never-Ending Industrial Disaster Still Plaguing Louisiana

Perhaps the one of the worst and least known industrial disasters in the country, the residents who live near the Bayou Corne sinkhole are still struggling. For many people in the Bayou Corne area, there’s a sense that their trials and tribulations dealing with the Texas Brine Sinkhole are all but forgotten throughout the state. A new documentary is coming out to remember their struggles as their fight for fair compensation and assistance continues. New risks have turned up as the salty waters threaten to pollute the neighboring freshwater marshes and swamps. Here are some breathtaking photos and a trailer for the upcoming movie.
