Located in St. Tammany Parish, Abita Springs is a lovely little town of roughly 2,500 people. This sleepy little town has a rich history dating back hundreds of years to when the town was originally a Choctaw Indian Village. It’s only about an hour drive from New Orleans, and the perfect opportunity to experience the small town life after spending time in the Crescent City.
We’ve planned out the perfect day of exploring Abita Springs below, so you’ll already have your itinerary when you arrive.
