Some of the most unique attractions in Delaware get overlooked for the more common and popular museums and historic sites, but our little state is full of hidden gems. Here are a few of the most unique attractions in Delaware, and each of them shows a little bit of what makes the First State so special, and what helps it stand out from the larger and busier states surrounding us.
1. The Indian River Lifesaving Station
Built in 1876. the Indian River Lifesaving Station was among the first in the United States. Fellow mariners dedicated their lives to helping those in danger. The station has been restored to how ti looked in 1905, and it serves as a museum and memorial to those who lost their lives in the service.

8. Woodburn, the Governor's Mansion
The Governor's Mansion at Woodburn is one of Delaware's most haunted houses! What makes this one of the truly unique attractions in Delaware, though, is the nature of the ghosts. Instead of pulling hair, appearing in photos, or haunting visitor's dreams, the ghosts of Woodburn are known t drink fancy wine. To schedule a tour and see how haunted it is for yourself, contact Corey Marshall-Steele at (302) 739-5656 or via e-mail at Corey.Marshall-Steele@state.de.us 151 Kings Hwy E, Dover, DE 19901

11. Winterthur's Enchanted Woods
Winterthur is home to hundreds of acres of stunning garden, but one of the most unique attractions in Delaware is their Enchanted Woods, at the top of the hill.
