Here in Alabama, there are several things we simply can’t deny. For example, we’re not the healthiest eaters, and during the fall season, college football ranks high above everything else. Listed below are 11 totally true stereotypes Alabamians should just accept as fact. Take a look and see which ones you agree or disagree with.
1. We have our own special accent.
People who aren't from Alabama claim we have an accent, so I reckon we do.
2. We'll deep fry pretty much anything.
After all, is there any other way to eat food here in the South? I didn't think so!
3. Here in Alabama, we really do take college football seriously.
So much so that it's not uncommon for us to schedule important events around football season.
4. Our love for the outdoors runs deep.
From hiking and camping, to fishing and hunting, Alabama offers a variety of outdoor activities that brings us closer to nature.
5. Our barbecue is top notch and...
Some of the best barbecue restaurants in the U.S. are located right here in Alabama.
6. ...our seafood never disappoints!
Because we're located on the Gulf Coast, we're incredibly lucky to have access to the freshest seafood available.
7. We take religion very seriously.
Considering Alabama is located within the Bible Belt region, this isn't surprising.
8. We love our beautiful, sprawling farms.
And many of us either grew up on, or currently reside on, one of these beautiful farms. Nothing beats country living in Alabama!
9. When it comes to snow, we tend to panic a little.
If you've ever gone to the store when snow was in the forecast, you know how crazy people can get.
10. Our sunrises and sunsets are nothing short of magical.
So TRUE!
11. Without a doubt, we truly are the kindest people you'll ever meet.
Here in Alabama, we welcome visitors all year round and treat them like family. Southern hospitality at its finest!
