We all know a few neighborhoods where houses feature rival decorations and designs for the Halloween season, but one unique event features a Halloween light show viewed during a hayride on this gorgeous North Carolina farm.
The 'Lights of Halloween' show takes place October 20, 21, 27, and 28 on Broken Plow Farm located in Sanford. Admission is $9 for ages 2 and up.
While many Halloween-themed haunted houses, hayrides and corn mazes might just scare the beejesus out of you, this Halloween lights show is perfect for all ages. It adds a dose of fun and spook without being too over-the-top.
The 'Lights of Halloween' offers something different for families. While it's a bit spooky, of course, it's acquainted for all age levels. The hayride circles around the farm and light show, lasting around 30-minutes per ride.
There's nothing worse than having a screaming, terrified toddler stuck on a hayride. Halloween Lights understands that, adding in a healthy dose of enchantment and wonder to what is typically spooky and terrifying.
There's plenty of various Halloween sections you'll pass through on your journey. The enchanting lights are accompanied by spooky cobwebs dangling from the trees. Orbs of light bounce in the woods and blood-red lights on the road guide the way.
There's a 'Haunted Ghost Ship' channeling North Carolina's pirate history, including Blackbeard.
You'll pass through a spooky array of Halloween-themed decor. There's the Ancient Oaks Cemetery, and of course, it's haunted by the souls of those left to wander the farmland forever. There's also the 'Glo'd Up' section which is part intriguing, part kind of odd, but also kind of cute... really.
