The haunted attraction features over 80,000-"scare"-feet of terrifying themed areas, a virtual reality experience and a commissary food stop. Experiences include "Contagion," where visitors will see the chaos of a deadly virus outbreak; "The Plague," where the survivors of the virus outbreak realize they’re not safe at all; and "Fear No Evil," which will lead victims though the demented dreams of a little girl named Isabelle. 4. Fright Fest at Six Flags New England, Agawam
The scariest time of the year at Six Flags is definitely Fright Fest, the theme park’s annual celebration of all things ghastly. The park opens at night and invites the brave to explore Scare Zones like Main Street Graveyard, where underground monsters have begun to make their way to the surface, as well as haunted attractions like The Forgotten Laboratory and Wicked Woods. 6. Factory of Terror, Worcester and Fall River
Factory of Terror has locations in Worcester and Fall River, which means there’s all the more reason to check out this terrifying attraction. This haunted spot will make you shiver with a 4-D creepy clown college, zombie alley and a 3-D nightmare experience. You can visit this spot on weekend evenings. Tickets range from $13.33 to $34.99, depending on the experience you want.

7. DementedFX, Holyoke
From now till the 29th, DementedFX is letting brave souls test their courage at their haunted house in Holyoke. This attraction was rated one of the world’s scariest by Buzzfeed. You’ll encounter roomfuls of terrifying, high-quality displays and skilled actors who will have you running for the door. The haunted house is open Friday through Sunday, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 per adult.
