October Is The Perfect Time To Visit This Creepy Wax Museum In Kansas
Sometimes you want to be a little creeped out in October, but nothing as scary as the Field of Screams. If you’d like to keep your heart rate down and explore without actors jumping out at you, this is the perfect spot to be a little weirded out. Plus, it’s in the daytime! This odd little museum in Dodge City is more than historic, it’s also full of creepy old wax figures. Something about endlessly staring eyes and waxy skin is just so odd. Let’s go check out the Famous Gunfighters Wax Museum this fall!

The Hall of Fame is interesting too, but you'll find the creepy part of your tour at the Famous Gunfighters Wax Museum that shares this building.

The beginning of this creepy museum retelling quite a few deaths and grisly murders starts with a severed head and ends with John F. Kennedy. If the beginning isn't creepy enough, the wax figures themselves are really off-putting.

They stare with empty, soulless eyes and never move. Sometimes, you can swear they did move... just a little bit. Didn't they?

Many of the scenes are of important times in their lives or of how they died. They were purchased from a circus sideshow in 1957, so they're also pretty old in addition to being creepy.

So, why are Lyndon Johnson and JFK also included in this museum of gunfighters? Just because! There's also Dracula and Frankenstein, so they're not the only oddballs sitting around, either.
After this creepy spot, why not check out these other activities perfect for a fall day in Kansas?
