As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Tennessee is known for its beautiful countryside and hospitable citizens, but what happens when you mesh the two of them? This gorgeous bed and breakfast is located in Wartrace, Tennessee and is known as the Ledford Mill Bed & Breakfast. A beautiful red building tucked away from the craziness of the world, this stunning little spot provides the time away that you truly need and deserve.
The Ledford Mill was opened in 1884, and refurbished and renovated by the ambitious Spear family in 1996. It now operates as a small, three-bedroom bed and breakfast, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the world in beautiful, foliage infused Wartrace.
You should know that once you check in, you are completely off the grid. There is no tv, WiFi or cell reception in the mill, and it only adds to the rustic beauty of the space. The mill is listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places, and the stunning area between Wartrace and Lynchburg truly creates and out of this world experience.
There are two waterfalls visible from the rooms for rent at the Ledford Mill, and we just have to ask: how would YOU feel about waking up to a view like this?! It's pretty insane and completely gorgeous.
You can take a short hike across the grounds, from one side of the wooden pedestrian bridge to the other, where you can settle in for a few hours of personal reflection, completely surrounded by the beauty of Tennessee's forested land.
You'll definitely want to book ahead of time, but you can visit the mill for yourself at 1195 Shipman Creek Road in Wartrace, Tennessee. It's a beautiful, unforgettable experience.
