Though most hikers may think of the lodge as a place to catch your breath after hiking to the peak, Bascom Lodge is actually a great destination for a lunch among the clouds.

You don’t have to even touch your hiking boots to dine here. Simply drive right up to the summit and pull up a chair. The lodge has large windows that will let you check out the brilliant foliage coloring the landscape as you stay warm and toasty by the great fireplace.

Everything is carefully crafted, from the rich homemade breakfast muffins to the delicious lunchtime salads and even the ice cream served at dinner. The lodge’s hummus sandwich is perfect for even the most meat-loving of guests.
