When it comes to restaurants with unique ambiances, Denverites go all out. For instance, there is the one-of-a-kind Linger (which is housed in a historic Denver mortuary), Casa Bonita (which needs no introduction), and this hidden gem of restaurant that is housed in an old Castle Rock church:
Located in the southwest suburb of Castle Rock lies the Old Stone Church Restaurant, a late-19th-century-Catholic-church-turned restaurant that has been serving world-class fare for more than 25 years.
Owned and operated by Culinary Institute of America graduate Jeff Richard, the Old Stone Church Restaurant features many of its same original features, including the choir loft and wood ceilings...
...real stone fixtures...
...and intricate stained glass that was donated by parish families in the 1920s.
As if the location itself wasn't reason enough to visit, the Old Stone Church Restaurant also boasts a killer menu of hors d'oeuvres...
Grilled Brie, anyone?
...entrees...
Seared scallops with lobster ravioli... OMG!!!
...and even the most decadent of desserts.
The Old Stone Church Restaurant is located at 210 Third St in Castle Rock and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
