Despite being a major city, Indianapolis has no shortage of rivers, nature preserves, and other natural wonders that every resident should check out. Here are five of the most incredible natural wonders around the city.
1. White River
Flowing throughout Central and Southern Indiana, this two-forked river is more than 362 miles long. With Indianapolis being located on the river, there is no shortage of ways to check out this wonder. You’ll find the West Fork flowing throughout Indianapolis and Fishers, and you can also head to the gorgeous White Water State Park to take in a large stretch of the river. And you’ll be able to do it thanks to the nine hiking trails that take you all around Ritchey Woods, eventually leading you to Hare Creek. 10410 Hague Rd
