Are you looking for some history around San Francisco? These cities around the Bay area will offer a chance to enjoy some history, museums, and sightseeing.
The island Alameda occupies what was originally a peninsula connected to Oakland. And today, there are a lot of historical nuggets here like the Alameda Historical Museum and the USS Hornet Museum. Take the time to enjoy the town and discover some restaurants as well.
This part of Oakland will really surprise you and take you back in time. Old Oakland is a historic district, and across Broadway from Chinatown. Make sure to check out the structures on Victorian Row, some of which include the 1878 Nicholl Block building.
