Missouri has its share of unfortunate weather, especially in the transitional seasons when you never know what to expect from day to day. Several days stuck inside can make kids (and parents) a little crazy. Here are some places you can take them when the weather isn’t cooperating with outdoor play. Give those kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews a chance to run around and burn some energy!
1. Dream and Play Recreation, Pay-to-Play, Chesterfield
Dream and Play is a retail store located at 17373 Edison Avenue in Chesterfield that sells playground equipment, and they open up their showroom for "pay-to-play" on Tuesdays through Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost is $5.00 cash or $6.00 charge. 2. Going Bonkers, Columbia
Located at 3812 Buttonwood Drive in Columbia, Going Bonkers is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cost of admission is $2.75 for ages 2-3, $5.50 for ages 4-18, $1.50 for adults, and free for kids under 2. 3. City Museum, St. Louis
City Museum is a huge place for kids to explore both inside and outside, so even if the weather is bad, you still have plenty to do inside. Located at 750 North 16th Street, it costs $12 per person over 3 years old most of the time, and $10.00 after 5:00 on Friday or Saturday. 7. Paradise Park, Lee’s Summit
Paradise Park is a huge indoor-outdoor family adventure park located at 1021 NE Colbern Road in Lee’s Summit. Indoor activities include an edutainment center, foam factory, game room, mini-bowling, a rock climbing wall and bumper cars as well as the Paradise Café. 8. I-49 Fun Center, Belton
