As far as abandoned places in Georgia go, our state has quite a few. But we’re going to show you a different, more quirky side of our state! Most people tend not to think about what happens to a school bus when it retires from taking children to and from school. However, there is one particular place in Georgia that can answer your question, plus show you just how a school bus graveyard comes to be. This weirdly wonderful place known as Alonzo Wade Auto Parts & Services, is also dubbed the School Bus Graveyard, and one look will have you in awe.

The School Bus Graveyard is located in Habersham County and is a place where the odd and the beautiful become one.

This unique auto-salvage-turned-art gallery was created by Alonzo Wade, who had an auto-wrecker business and salvage yard.

The problem started in the early 2000s when unwanted guests started stealing from his yard.

It was suggested that Wade use the salvaged buses and RVs to create a fence to keep the thieves at bay.
