Baltimore is unique because not only does it have city features, but it also has plenty of area parks full of green space. The following spot is a short drive away and the hike will make you feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle . Slather on some sunscreen and prepare for an other-worldly experience.
Patapsco Valley State Park covers over 14,000 acres, sprawling across parts of Baltimore County and Howard County.

While this park boasts dozens of trails, today we're focusing on an easier (but no less beautiful) route called Grist Mill Trail. Favorite spots among Grist Mill Trail are the two rustic swinging bridges.

Along the paved path you'll also discover this enchanting tunnel that you can walk through, if you desire.
Located just off of Grist Mill Trail is Cascade Falls Trail, which undeniably leads to Cascade Falls. The trek is short but sweet.
To enhance your experience even further, visit this section of the park during autumn to be surrounded by amber hues. Be sure to bring your camera!
