Are you craving a tropical vacation but just can’t seem to come up with the funds? Join the club… Instead of sitting around commiserating, let’s just meet at this tropical-themed Colorado restaurant that will trick you into thinking that you have left the Centennial State for the Aloha State:
Hiding out in Windsor is the unassuming Okole Maluna Hawaiian Grill, which "blends classic island dishes with new-edged fusion."
Headed up by Island-born Andy Higa, Okole Maluna Hawaiian Grill is a highly-rated dining experience that opened in 2004 and has been a Northern Colorado go-to ever since.
Translated as "bottoms up," Okole Maluna features an authentic Pacific Rim vibe complete with a tropical bar...
...colorful dining room...
...and, of course, beautiful aquariums, which pull together the island vibe.
In addition to the tranquil ambiance, Okole Maluna is also home to incredible dishes like this Teriyaki 'Teri' Plate...
...mixed plates...
This one has sautéed mahi-mahi and chicken.
...and delicious pork dishes, like this slow-roasted Kalua pig.
Okole Maluna Hawaiian Grill is located at 431 Main St in Windsor and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm for lunch and from 5 pm to 9 pm for dinner.
